At Hear Now!, we believe everyone deserves to hear clearly and comfortably. Based in Kingswinford and serving homes across Stourbridge, Dudley, Brierley Hill, Wollaston and the wider Black Country, we bring professional ear care right to your doorstep — no clinics, no waiting rooms, no travel.

Hear Now! was founded and is personally run by Helen Tromans. That means the person you speak to when you book is the same person who arrives at your door — whether that’s your living room in Kingswinford, a care home in Dudley, or a workplace in Stourbridge.

Meet Helen Tromans

Helen is a familiar face to many across the Black Country, having spent well over a decade working in community pharmacies across the region, supporting patients face-to-face every day. Pharmacy taught her two things that shape how Hear Now! works today: that healthcare is at its best when it’s personal, and that the people who most need care are often the ones who find it hardest to access — older patients, people with mobility issues, carers who can’t
 eave the person they look after, and families juggling work and appointments.

In 2023, Helen trained and certified in ear microsuction with Tympa Health and began performing ear wax removal professionally — bringing clinical- quality ear care directly to clients in the comfort of their own homes. With NHS ear wax removal having all but disappeared across the Black Country, and high street clinics feeling rushed and impersonal, Hear Now! exists to fill that gap the right way: unhurried, local, and personal.

How Helen Works

Every appointment starts with a conversation, not a procedure. Helen will examine your ears using HD digital otoscopy so you can see exactly what she can see, explain what she’s found in plain English, and only carry out wax removal if it’s genuinely needed. If your ears are clear, you pay £30 for the examination — never the full removal price. If wax removal is needed, it’s a flat £60 covering both ears, with no travel fees or callout charges.

Helen takes particular pride in how she works with elderly and vulnerable clients. Having spent years supporting older patients in pharmacy, and with significant experience of caring for people living with dementia, she never rushes an appointment. If someone needs extra time to feel comfortable, they get it. If a care home resident isn’t ready on the day, she’ll come back another time — no charge, no fuss. It’s a slower, more personal way of working than a high street clinic, and it’s exactly why Hear Now! was set up this way.
